Historic Sites in NYS

Historic sites along Lake Champlain in New York Sate predate the American Revolution. The lake shores in the town of Essex, is home to one of the state's best preserved historic villages with 100 plus structures built between 1790 and 1860. Other sites include the preserved ruins of French Fort St. Fredric (1734), British Fort Crown Point (1759) at the Crown Point State Historic Site, Fort Ticonderoga, Fort William Henry at Lake George, Adirondack Museum overlooking Blue Mountain Lake, and the Adirondack "Great Camps" are just a few site to consider exploring.
